The Truth of Life and the Prince
In the kingdom of mountains near Nepal there was a prince who was pampered and was kept away from all the misery of the world till he become a boy. There was always a strict security to make sure of three things that the Prince should never see 1. The Sick 2. The Dead and 3. the Old Aged person.
So the prince is always kept in a secured area where he can just see the natural beauty of life and lush green pastures where he go for the ride with his men. When the prince turned into a handsome well groomed and naturally sensitive person, he asked his royal assistant that why is not not allowed to go in the city. SO he ordered him to take him to the city and show him the people who live there. The assistant denied as he was suppose to follow the orders of the King but after the strong insist of the Prince he had left no choice to take him to see the city and people who are living there. But the royal assistant has asked him that he must disguise into a commoner if he wants to keep a secret and visit the city. The prince agreed and they both went for a short trip across the boundary wall of the castle and secured area.
The prince at first was very excited to see the crowed and the markets but suddenly he sees a man who was very sick. As the prince has never seen such a sick person he asked his assistant the reason of that sick persons behaviour and crying. The assistant out of his duty first thought of order but then he decided to answer the Prince as he is grown up and can understand such things of life. He said this guys is in pain because he has a disease hence in a really sick condition. Prince while in a thinking about his reply and kept on moving forward in the city.
Then the Prince sees an Old person walking very slow and looking very weak. So he asked his assistant whether this guys is also sick. But his assistant said to him that he is not sick he has become so old. So when people become old then they turn like him. Prince got more curious as he was never seen such things ever before but now its something that is always around him but he never got the chance to know them.
While staying in the thoughts of sick and old men he kept on waling across the city. Then they both came across a dead person who was put on the stature of wood and was taken to graveyard. Prince out of his sheer curiosity asked his assistant if this guys is both sick and old but he is not moving and laying on the stature in robes. He replied to the prince, "Dear Prince this not a sick nor a old person hence this person is dead". After hearing this Prince was totally had no clue what to say and understand and asked his assistant to explain more about the condition of the person he calling dead.
Then the Assistant replied that when a persons soul is no longer stays in the body he becomes dead hence same like the person the prince has seen. When a person dies, he can not move nor can respond to anybody and finally buried in the earth. Prince said but it wont be happen with him as he is a Royal prince. The assistant in denial told him that he will also get sick, old and eventually die as everybody does without any differences of status.
After hearing this the Prince got so upset and thoughtful that if this is what life is all about then he has already wasted much of his time and he must search and seek the truth behind this life, he must find a way to make sure he can stay safe from all these miseries of life. The Prince told the assistance to go back and tell his Parents that he will only come back when he will find the answers of his questions. So he ran away far from his kingdom and never came back.
Later on the prince was known to the world as Buddah ! Who concluded at the end times of his life that life is another name of Pain.
So should always stay well aware in the times of hardships and pains that this is what is all about accept and understand it. Once we understand it will fade away the troubles and bring peace in our lives.
